Rehearsal Tracks Available!

Happy weekend, everyone, and fantastic job on our first week of rehearsals! We now have access to the rehearsal tracks through ShowReady. These aren’t just background karaoke tracks, but rather a custom, mixable piece of software that allows you to decide how you want to hear and practice your parts. Below are basic instructions on how to install it on macOS, Windows, or iOS (sorry, Android users)

1. Download ShowReady

2. Enter the Authorization Code

Once installed, you’ll be able to listen to the rehearsal tracks and modify your listening experience. Here’s some helpful things you can do:

- Adjust the click volume (the metronome)

- Mute, unmute, and solo specific characters or parts by selecting and deselecting them in the Mixer:

[M] for mute (don’t play this part)

[S] for solo (only play this part)

You can also adjust the pan (left/right ear) or volume

Even change the instrument entirely!

- Use play/pause controls, and don’t forget to hit the [->|] button to continue after a repeated vamp

- Adjust the tempo scale (change the playback speed)

Reminder! The tracks default with vocal parts muted, so if you want to hear your part, be sure to unmute them!

This will be one of the best tools for practicing on your own. Please use it! The more confident we are in our parts, the quicker we can move on to the exciting part of performance and really bringing this world to life!
